The Damage Estimation

On arrival on our premises the vehicle will be pressure washed and vacuumed, This enables us to do an accurate estimate on the area of damage and any other none accident related damage, scratches, marks, etc can be recorded on the vehicle check in sheet.

An inspection report will be compiled and this report will be attached to the estimate file. The estimator will then refer to the instructions on the damage received from the insurers and the inspection report and proceed to estimate the repairs noting any additional damage and relating this to the owner if the estimator considers this to be of importance.

The estimate will be compiled on one of our estimating systems: Autoclaims or Auda Workstation and digital images will be taken and transmitted to the insurers via our dedicated modem communication lines. Upon receipt the insurers will evaluate the estimate referring to the claim and give permission for the work to commence, This entire procedure will normally be done without the need for an on site inspection.

The next stage is to draw from the computer the necessary part order sheet and job card with work flow sheet attached which will be signed off at every stage of the repair process.
