Vehicle Preperation and Painting

On receiving the panel repaired vehicle the paint shop will relate to the job card and view the paintwork to be carried out. At this stage the vehicle will be flattened down in excess of the repaired area to take in the area for blending. The paint shop supervisor will determine that all parts have been removed to avoid masking.

The vehicle will now be cleaned in the repair area, Surrounding panels will be masked and the whole car sheeted up. Soft
edge masking will be used where appropriate.

The vehicle will now be placed in one of our Low Bake Ovens for the necessary primer and top coats to be applied. The oven temperatures are regulated so that on the paintwork cooling down the vehicle is ready for use.

Final flattening and polishing will be done on the painted area and on a satisfactory quality control check the vehicle will be taken to the refitting shop for rebuilding.
